My New Rig
So last month I built my dream machine.
I have been planning to do this for roughly 2 years now. So I finally saved up and took the leap.
Here are the specs:
- Case: Silverstone TJ09
- Motherboard: Intel Bad Axe 2 (LOVE this!!)
- CPU: Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M shared L2 Cache
- Hard Disks: 4 X 250GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache, result:
I set 2 to a RAID1 configuration for a default backup of OS installation. 2 Additional drives set up standardly.Update: I actually ended up reconfiguring my RAID to a RAID10 configuration (2 stripe + 2 mirror). The results are outstanding.
- Total available disk space:
750GB500GB - Fans: CPU: VIGOR GAMING CLT-M2I 92mm, 2 top dial-controlled 120mm fans, 1 front intake 120mm fan, 1 rear exhaust 120mm fan.
- Video Card: ATI Radeon X1950XTX 512MB (not multi-gpu, I dont see how a performance increase would be possible!!)
- Sound Card: XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro (I know my motherboard is a better sound unit, not to mention it has 8.1 channel audio, I just wanted something separate from on-board)
- TV Tuner Card: ATI All-in-Wonder 650
- PSU: ThermalTake 700W
Those are really all that are worth mentioning, I am using my old dvdrw & floppy drives, nothing special about them.
Now, here is some pics of my rig! I should also mention; I just realized I am not great at taking photos! That or for the life of me I can not seem to fix the horrible common blur problem I am having with my camera. Anyway, enjoy!

I really like the rig. I think it’s a great invention i guess i could say. It’s neat and i think it’s a good thing that you put your time into it because it turned out great. Email me back on how you created it or designed it. Peace Out!!!!

I like the rig. I am currently getting into custom buidling and overclocking. I like the Double Typhoon heatsink Fan + Fan combo. I read its not real effective but the end users love the show value of it. For cooling why don’t you get an exhaust hose like the one’s used for a Dryer and hook into to the back of your computer. This will keep your room from becoming a sauna. haha
