FisixEngine Tutorials

I am happy to know that the FisixEngine API Docs have been released.

I have volunteered to help create some tutorials for the FisixEngine, Mr. Michaeli (Oz) has invited me to create a ragdoll tutorial for the engine, and I am really excited to get started once it becomes available to me.

I really do not see how any flash developer could not be super excited about this project, I know I am!

Actionscript 3.0 Fisix Engine

Among several AS 3.0/Flex experiments and projects, I must say that this is one of my favorites.

It is called Fisix Engine. There appears to be a few memory leaks in the fisix engine demo, however this appears to still be under development, I am certainly looking forward to seeing some more applications such as games, using this.

I have been trying for some time now to get my feet wet with Actionscript 3.0. It is an amazing language, but also a huge leap from AS 2.0.

Update: I just found this really cool ragdoll effect using the Fisix Engine, AWESOME!

A New Design

Well, if you have visited this blog before then you will know that I have just updated it with a redesign. I put it off for too long, but I’m really happy to have it back up now.

I have also finally posted, after a month! Hopefully this new design will help me kick off more blogging incentive for me :D

Now, I did just update this, so I am sure that there are at least a few things that are broken or something, but I will be making fixes to them over the next few days. Please feel free to let me know what you think of it!

Blog Article Piracy?!

Webknowhow.net pirates my article! When I naively starting blogging, it never occurred to me that I would have problems that I’m sure many other bloggers are having these days. I’m talking about blog article piracy. I recently discovered more than 15 sites who have decided upon themselves to take one of my most hard-worked articles and stick it up on their site. For example, look at this site who took my entire article and slapped it on thier site: http:// www*webknowhow*net/dir/Other_Resources/articles/SmartRedirect.html (remove spaces and replace *’s with .’s).

Now this is petty compared to all the other kinds of piracy that goes on, I am aware of this. But where does it end? What sort of options does a blogger have in his or her defense? I don’t mind when other sites provide snippets of my article and talk about it a bit. But when somebody blatantly steals your article and slaps it on their site and calls it their own, it boils my blood!

What can a blogger do?

Digg This!

The result of working on a saturday.

I value the alone-time I have to get a lot of work done on a saturday, but sometimes what you would usually be doing on a saturday sticks to you. For instance… look at what happened after working today (saturday) alone in the office:

And… after a quick run through photoshop:

Picture was taken with my cell phone, so no rants about the image quality. :)

However, I DID manage to get a lot of much-needed work done.
